Tosoh Bioscience GmbH, will present another edition of Tosoh Tuesday, a webinar series held by Chromatography Experts.

On Tuesday, March 15 - 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM CEST Andrea Krumm, Product Manager Analytical Columns, and Heidi Vitrac, Laboratory Manager at Tosoh Bioscience, will present how advanced detection technologies namely multi-angle light scattering (MALS) and mass spectrometry (MS) can be applied to better characterize mAbs and reveal species hidden in UV chromatograms.
Special emphasis will be placed on the higher requirements for size exclusion columns preceding advanced detection methods.

After the webinar there will be a live Q&A session.

This issue celebrates the 50th anniversary of their HPLC column brand TSKgel.

In 1971, Tosoh launched its first TSKgel column, a GPC column.
This paved the way for an entire suite of columns in nearly every mode of liquid chromatography.

Innovative technologies to generate hydrogen safely

One of the key points in laboratories is represented by the supply of technical gases, often made available in high-pressure cylinders and whose procedures are extensively dealt with in Legislative Decree 81/2008, pointing out the potential risks associated with their use.

It is no coincidence that Claind, thanks to its 40 years of experience, continues to search for suitable solutions in order to create valid alternatives to guarantee a high level of safety in analytical laboratories

The patents for the production of Electrolyzers with Multilayer Electrodes, PEM (Polymer electrolyte membrane) and the innovative AEM (Anion Exchange Membrane, a scalable electrolyzer that replaces fossil fuels with green hydrogen), represent a concept that points towards a "green" era, in view of the energy savings and waste that can be avoided.

But that's not all. There are many solutions that reflect greater reliability. These include gas chromatography (GC), the use of flame ionization detectors (FID) and Carrier Gases. All techniques that require safety standards ensuring high performance.

As Nicola Tunesi, Sales and Marketing Director of Claind srl, explains, "In our own small way we want to play a leading role in building a sustainable future. That's why our gas generators are reliable, innovative and green, and without a doubt represent an added value in which safety remains the key element of our efforts".

Water purification system - Aquinity² P35/70

The Aquinity² P35/70 system is designed for the production of pure water (< 1 μS/cm) and ultra pure water (0.055 μS/cm) out of tap water.

The system is equipped with a reverse osmosis (RO) and conditioning module to produce deionised water (DI water) into the external storage reservoir (35 L or 70 L) with a production rate of 10 L/h and an access to tap DI water directly.

Out of the storage tank the ultra pure water is produced with mixed bed cartridges and then can be tapped with a flexible dispenser.

You are most welcome to come and test the system at our site in Antwerp (Merksem).

Reagecon Turbiform™ Stabilised Formazin Turbidity Standards

Reagecon have developed a proprietary synthetic process, that produces a family of products called Turbiform™.  These products combine most of the positive attributes of the Formazin and AMCO APEA-1 ranges of standards already available from Reagecon, whilst eliminating most of the shortcomings. Most importantly, this new process, does not interfere adversely with the status of Formazin as the recognised primary standard, because the new material is derived from the same 4000 NTU formazin standard base.

  • Ready to use at 13 different NTU values
  • Completely safe – not subject to any regulations
  • EPA approved Accurate ± 5% at any value
  • Can be used to calibrate, control, validate or qualify almost any make or model of instrument
